AI Victims of Violence in South American
Freezones
May 6, 2280
Report by: Telvin Anderlia, NWSEC Field Office - Sao Paulo
AI throughout many South American Freezones endure horrific conditions and even violent attacks. Recent reports tell saddening tales of AI maltreatment, discrimination and even slavery throughout the region.
The problem is not limited to South America. Investigations conducted in numerous City States show at least 75% of AI have faced discrimination of some sort and a staggering 20% are currently working in conditions in clear violation of the Global Accord on Artificial Life (GAAL). AI in even the most developed City States continue to face unfair treatment and worse. There is little sign of change on the horizon and significant intervention is needed in order to see to it that AI receive the fair and just treatment promised to them in the GAAL.
Clearly, even in 2280, we still have a long way to go and few communities have moved past the stigma often associated with artificial life.
The NWSEC and its partners have begun deploying aid workers and rescue operations to some of South America's most intolerant locations in the hope of freeing AI. Shockingly, NWSEC staff have have themselves becomes victims of violence and sabotage.
More on this in the coming weeks.

Loth Foundry Contributes to Species Discovery
and Documentation
May 6, 2280
Report by: Amanda Clark, NWSEC Field Office - Regina Construct
Loth Foundry has joined forces with the NWSEC, contributing hundreds of surveillance drones to the North American Creature Discovery Effort.
The drones are jointly operated by NWSEC field staff and Foundry personal in an effort to not only discover and document new species, but contribute to long term research.
The drones are used to scour the North American Wilds in search of never before seen plants and animals. Data feeds from the drones are sent directly to the NWSEC for analysis. Already numerous new species have been discovered.
Critics of the Foundry have launched attacks, claiming the AI Army has no interest in organic organisms except to exploit or destroy them while others argue the Foundry's highest ranking officers understand the importance of joining the scientific community and contributing to the growing body of knowledge contained within the NWSEC. Most believe Loth, the Foundry's controller, has motives which lay somewhere in the middle.

Coastal Communities Terrorized
May 21, 2280
Report by: Victor Lumsden, NWSEC Field Office - Roma Prov
Coastal communities surrounding the Mediterranean sea have begun flooding the NWSEC with reports of attacks by monstrous crab-like creatures venturing onto land in the dead of night.
The Barcelona Reconstruction Commune was the first community to report attacks, but towns and villages as far east as the Isle of Cyprus have come under attack suggesting the entire Mediterranean has become home to a new species of aquatic predator able to and unafraid of venturing onto land in search of food.
Initial reports describe the beasts as "cattle-sized" black crabs which raced across land as quickly as horses. Recent reports have suggested the creatures have powerful tentacles beneath their head, a soft squid-like under-body and flexible tail.
The monsters have claimed thousands of large livestock, attacking in the dark of night with gigantic claws able to crush their prey with ease. So far human casualties have been limited but survivors claim the creatures are unafraid and incredibly durable. Some claim they are sensitive to light although no conclusive evidence supports this.
The NWSEC asks anyone with photos or video of the creatures to please contact us.
